Everything Is Bright Here – Lucia Buricelli

On April 10, 2026, Rome is set to welcome one of the most compelling events of the spring photography season. Galleria Zema, an independent space in the heart of Via Giulia dedicated to excellence in women’s photography, presents Everything Is Bright Here, Lucia Buricelli’s first solo exhibition in Italy.

The exhibition brings together a selection of works created in New York between 2019 and 2025, offering a fresh and vibrant perspective on the city that never sleeps—far removed from tourist clichés and attuned instead to the electric pulse of everyday urban life.

On Becoming A Wolf – Francesca Cao

On January 24, 2026, at 5:30 PM, Galleria ZEMA presents On Becoming A Wolf by Francesca Cao, a photographic project developed and curated by the artist herself through Errore Metodico (Methodical Error), a patented analogue photographic technique based on the intentional superimposition of multiple frames at the moment of shooting.

Far from a documentary approach, the work unfolds as an introspective and psychoanalytic narrative, a visual exploration of the liberation of the feminine through an intimate, instinctive, and imperfect language.

Soglie del visibile / Thresholds of the Visible Gaia Adducchio | Luisa Briganti | Simona Caprioli

curated by Emanuela Zamparelli

On November 29, 2025, at 4:30 PM, Galleria ZEMA presents Soglie del visibile / Thresholds of the Visible, an exhibition featuring photographic works by Gaia Adducchio, Luisa Briganti, and Simona Caprioli, curated by Emanuela Zamparelli.

As the curator writes, the three artistic practices share the same underlying impulse: to reconnect the image with the body, matter, and time, restoring photography to its deepest essence—that of a perceptual act, a form of contact, and a sensory experience of the world.

Grete (Wykofer) – Juliette Wayenberg

curated by di Bianca Ceriani

On September 26, 2025, at 5:30 PM, Galleria ZEMA presents Grete (Wykofer), a solo exhibition by Juliette Wayenberg, curated by Bianca Ceriani: a photographic project in which the artist “delves into her family archives, selecting and reframing negatives before printing them as cyanotypes, then toning and bleaching the resulting images.”

COLORS – Daniela Cavallo

curated by di Alessia Locatelli

Daniela Cavallo’s solo exhibition, Colors, curated by Alessia Locatelli, is the second exhibition hosted in the new space dedicated to women’s art. The exhibition offers an overview of the Apulian artist’s new creative process, which in recent years has evolved into a visual practice based on the layering of different artistic languages and forms of expression.

“Photographers’ gazes on the world” Daria Addabbo – Luisa Dörr – Kiana Hayeri

curated by Alessia Locatelli

The exhibition presents three photographic projects that, despite their stylistic and geographical differences, converge in a powerful and urgent narrative about our time: the climate crisis and its social consequences, the reinterpretation of cultural traditions through new feminist practices, and the condition of women in contexts of oppression and systemic violence.
